It was simply awesome. Yesterday the NSBE DC Professionals held its Kids Love STEM event at MITRE. We hosted children and their parents in an all day session; kids got to participate in some pretty cool activities such as STEM Jeopardy, Engineering Solutions for Climate Control, and Black GEMS in STEM; while parents got the opportunity to listen to presentations from professionals on a number of different topics (including my Union of Concerned Scientists on driverless cars). This is why I am a part of NSBE. To give back and make an impact. And an impact did we make. More pics will be coming out on the NSBE DC Instagram page!
